SCHOLL COLLEGE EDITION

1. Tournament begins Tuesday, Feb 1, 2005 and will continue until only one program remains...the winner !
    

2. Questions are released each Tuesday night at 9PM EST. An email will be sent announcing the start of each round to the designated residency contact that gave us when you signed up. A LINK to each week’s questions will be posted on the Residency Challenge web page at exactly 9PM EST each Tuesday night.
    

3. 5 questions per quiz
    

4. Single elimination tournament ladder...each week, one program goes up against another randomly selected program. Rivalries are encouraged.
    

5. Quiz questions are answered online
    

6. Only one set of responses is allowed per residency program. If more than one set of responses is submitted, the one submitted FIRST will be used.
    

7. We encourage communication and collaboration among the residents in a program to submit the one best response. We encourage the residents to be on the phone, communicate via email or to actually be together when the quizzes are released. This will provide the greatest collective brain trust, to maximize the performance of that program. If more than one response is submitted, the first one will be used.
    

8. Grading of the responses will be done as follows: 1st priority is accuracy, 2nd is speed. For example, If Program A gets 4 out of 5 correct, and Program B gets 3 out of 5 correct, Program A wins, even if their response was submitted later. If BOTH programs get 4 out of 5 correct, the program who’s response was received FIRST wins. Our web forms log the exact time the response is submitted.
    

9. Responses must be received no later than 9 PM EST the next evening, Wednesday, after the Tuesday that the questions are released, so each program has 24 hours to submit their responses.
    

10. Residency Programs can only enroll through Midnight January 30. Enrollments received after this time are ineligible to win the Grand Prize.  However, even programs who are not enrolled are welcomed to participate by submitting responses.  They will not, however, be entered in the tournament ladder and are not eligible for prizes.
