Welcome
to the 2007-2008 Academic Year. PRESENT Residency Education
Courseware is proud to provide your program with this high quality
learning tool.
This year’s PRESENT Curriculum includes
many new and timely topics for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year residents. You
will note that each month also features a ‘Team Viewing’ lecture
which has been selected as a key assignment. The goal of the ‘Team
Viewing’ lecture is to encourage all residents and program faculty
to view a highlighted lecture together at the hospital or other
central location. This will facilitate discussion and debate
following the lecture presentation.
Your program may elect to include
modifications to the PRESENT Structured Curriculum and may find
other creative ways to incorporate this useful online resource. We
hope you will log on and make the most of PRESENT Residency
Education Courseware…
PRESENT Courseware
Podiatric Residency Curriculum (PCPRC) is an orderly sequence of online
lectures, building from fundamentals to advanced techniques, that will take
podiatric residents through a comprehensive post-graduate educational
experience. Starting each July 1, one lectures is assigned each week, for
each of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year residents, building on the concepts
taught the week before.
The NEW PRESENT Courseware Curriculum offers many benefits to podiatric
residency educators:
It assists residency
directors in fulfilling CPME 320 requirements.
It helps prepare
residents for the challenges they will encounter during their hospital
tenure.
It provides a standard
curriculum, giving residency directors the confidence that they have
provided their residents with a comprehensive post-graduate didactic
education in podiatric surgery and medicine.
It serves as
preparation
for the board eligibility exam.
