can transform the way you deliver residency education!
Welcome to Spring! I have just
returned from a great ACFAS Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, and I’m sure
many of you were there also.
This week in the PRESENT
Curriculum, the 1st year residents view “Classification and Differential
Diagnosis of Wounds” by Marie Williams, DPM of South Florida. The 2nd
and 3rd year residents are scheduled to view “Lapidus Procedure for
Hallux Valgus Surgery” by Sam Mendicino, DPM of Texas. Each of these
lectures presents their clinical topic in a very practical and useful
manner. Case oriented discussion and clinical images dominate the
lectures, but historical and foundational principles are reviewed also.
Once again, I believe these lectures fall in line with the practical
learning that our PRESENT Curriculum has come to be known for. I
encourage you to take advantage of this resource and watch your assigned
weekly lecture.
The classification and differential diagnosis of wounds is discussed. Dr. Williams also introduces the viewer to various wound care products available today. She helps to identify the products best utilized to treat particular types of wounds.
