2nd Year Lecture

Tailors Bunion

Tailors Bunions are repaired in a manner that is very similar to Hallux Abducto Valgus deformities. To adequately address the deformity you must reduce the intermetatarsal angle. The 2.0 cannulated screw allows for a more, gentle, precise, stable fixation for the 5th metatarsal osteotomy. This is illustrated in the presentation.Other procedures used to repair Tailors Bunions are discussed as well. Four case presentations illustrate unusual problems affecting the 5th metatarsal.

3rd Year Lecture

 Ankle Arthroscopy

Osteochondral lesions of the talus are one of the most common diagnoses indicated for an ankle arthroscopy. Dr. Dolce combines these two aspects of surgery in this lecture. He describes cartilage anatomy, mechanism of injury, classification, and treatment of osteochondral lesions of the talus. He then provides the instruments used, indications, contraindications, portals, and 21 point examination of ankle arthroscopy.
