Case Presentation
1st MPJ Discoloration

It has been a while since we did a good Clinical Case as part of the PRESENT Residency Insight, so tonight I would like to share the following:

69 year old female presents with a painful prominence dorsal 1st metatarsal and also makes mention of a small area of ‘horseshoe shaped’ green / purple discoloration distally on the 1st metatarsal. Review the clinical photo above and make your best assessment of the green / purple discoloration at the tip of arrow.

I am purposefully giving you VERY limited history here because I want to see your ability to decipher the information the clinical photo itself presents…

Please reply back with your guess at what this discoloration is and I will have the diagnosis and treatment for you next week.  To do so, CLICK HERE.
