We are, therefore, proud to announce an exciting new addition to our staff. The dynamic John Steinberg, DPM, full time faculty in the Department of Surgery at Georgetown University School of Medicine and world renowned podiatric educator, has joined PRESENT as Editor and Academic Chair.  He will be overseeing academic curriculum development and assuming the role of community leader to the nationwide residency community.

Dr. Steinberg, at all of 33 years of age, has already amassed an awesome CV, which you can take a peek at here.  He has become one of the most sought after lecturers, having established himself as an excellent speaker and authority in the area of diabetic wound care and limb salvage.  Most importantly, he is young, energetic, and a leader among the upcoming new generation of highly trained podiatrists now establishing themselves in the profession.  Here at PRESENT, he will be serving as mentor to the nationwide podiatric residency community, stepping up to advise them in the efficient attainment of their career goals.   We at PRESENT are thrilled that he has agreed to join us.  We can think of no better person to take on this role.

In the Residency Insight issue a week from now (Weds, Jan 12), he will address the nationwide residency community, announcing how he intends to engage them in exciting new activities this year, all designed to enrich their residency education experience and ease their transition from residents to practicing podiatrist.
