It’s Time to Get to WORK!

Welcome to the 2005-2006 Academic Year. You are either just joining the residency community as a 1st year, or you are transitioning into your 2nd or 3rd year of training now…either way there is a lot going on this month! To help you make sense out of the madness, your program has opted to include PRESENT Courseware as part of your educational experience. We think there is a lot to be gained though this resource and will do our best to help keep you updated on the ways in which you can best utilize this technology.

PRESENT is a very dynamic resource that we are working to adapt to the current needs of the users. A key new feature this year is our Structured Curriculum which has just been published on line and serves as a guide for appropriate lecture viewing. We will also continue the Residency Rumble Challenges this year and look forward to the interaction and competition between programs across the nation.

One key goal for 2005-2006 is to expand the role of PRESENT as a Residency Community Resource. We would like to facilitate more interaction between programs and exchange of ideas through topics, cases, and opinion polls. Much of this will be directed through these weekly Residency Insight mailings, but I encourage you to send me any thoughts you may have at anytime via jsteinberg@podiatry.com.
